Of course, you can find information on Al's releases at slews of other web sites, but what would a Weird Al web site be without a discography??? In addition to basic government-issue information such as track lists and cover art, All Things Yankovic went several steps further to make things interesting by adding trivia notes for each album and single, by listing release dates and catalog numbers (including reissues), by listing coinciding singles with their parent albums, and by presenting cool images such as teaser stickers and cover variations!
We're also keeping a running count of additions to Al's usual "themed" songs....
Food songs: Tracks about food or dining ("Eat It," "Spam")
TV songs: Tracks about aspects of television or specific shows ("Cable TV," Couch Potato")
Love songs: Tracks about screwed-up romances, relationships, or obsessions ("One More Minute," "Melanie")
Movie songs: Tracks that recount the plots of blockbuster hit films ("Yoda," "Gump")
Cultural Stereotype songs: Tracks that poke fun at decades-old stereotypes of a given group ("Amish Paradise," "Canadian Idiot")
Unless noted, all of the information was researched by us for inclusion on these discography pages. For more cool funfacts and statistics, check out the Archives compiled by Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz at the Official Weird Al web site.
ANOTHER NOTE: A lot of the release dates listed here for Al's pre-1991 works are based on copyright information at the Library of Congress. These may not be 100 percent correct, so as always any contribution or correction is more than welcome.
Well, enough of that crud.....enjoy!
