|NOTES & TRIVIA|
Parody/original ratio: 5/6
Food songs: "Lasagna" (7) (no, we're not counting "Fat" because that's not really about food)

Song songs: "(This Song's Just) Six Words Long" (1)
Production Summary: All eleven songs were written and recorded for this album. Of the five parodies, Al initially needed to seek permission from only three people/entities since two parodies ("I Think I'm A Clone Now" and "Alimony") were based on songs written by the same composer and originally performed by the same group while another ("Lasagna") was based on a traditional folk song not accredited to a specific songwriter.
Dr. Demento Status: As of this update, all of the album's eleven songs have aired on the syndicated Dr. Demento Show, with the last song to premiere on the show being "You Make Me" on September 25, 1988. Interestingly, "(This Song's Just) Six Words Long" and "Alimony" have each only been played on the show once.
Tour Status: As of this update, 29% of this album has been included on a regular tour setlist. In addition, "Good Old Days" has been performed on occasion apart from a regular tour, making 38% of the album having been performed live at one point or another.
The first ALbum cover to parody another album cover.
With the exception of "Fat," all of this album's parodies are of popular remakes of songs.
Debuted at #122 in Billboard. It would eventually stay on the "Billboard 200" chart for twenty-six weeks, a record for an Al release until 1992.
Released in Japan on June 21, 1988. Due to problems with the translation, the Japanese (and Korean) issue of this album was titled Fat.
ALbum title/song connection: The album title, cover, and lead-off single all parody (and each in a unique way) those of Michael Jackson's album Bad.
Al's first release to go Platinum.
The only studio ALbum to be promoted with just one music video.
Also, the first studio ALbum to not be promoted with a coinciding concert tour.
The first ALbum since 1983 to not include a polka medley.
