Well, tonight is the Rock Hall induction ceremony. It sure would have been nice if all the living inductees would have agreed to perform tonight...and it would have been great if another act's induction wasn't delayed for a year by internal politics, since the group's lead singer died in the meantime.

And of course, it would have been awesome if someone who has been eligible for four years now and is clearly in a class by himself was inducted, too.

Like we did last year around this time, we're offering a bit of counterprogramming on this blog. While we're happy for this year's inductees, we still have our own business to take care of.

But first, we want to note the passing of music manager Jeff Roe, who died unexpectedly late last year. Back in 2005, Jeff was instrumental in getting Bowling for Soup on board to help with that year's postcard drive. Thank you for all your help and well wishes, sir.

We also want to remind everyone that Al has just directed a brand new video for the Presidents of the United States of America's new single, "Mixed Up S.O.B." The PUSA of course let Al parody their hit "Lump" as "Gump" all those years ago, and they also graciously signed our current petition! If you haven't seen the video yet, just click here.
