"Weird Al used music videos brilliantly. His parodies of both Michael Jackson and Madonna were even more memorable than the original videos themselves." |

Make the Rock Hall Weird Update Blog
Hi, I'm Gordon, one of the most important members of Make the Rock Hall "Weird." Though I don't contribute creatively to the campaign, I do all the uploading, proofreading, image-saving, and all of the other boring technical work around here. Greg doesn't let me out too much, and he certainly doesn't let me refer to myself as "webmaster."
Greg was pretty upset with me back in 2007 when the Cleveland Free Times quoted me in an article about the campaign, as I'm also not allowed to speak to the press. I can see his point, though; I've got better things to do for the campaign, like working on the web site.
What I am allowed to do is post blog updates whenever something has been added or updated on the web site. Not anything new as in new projects, activities, contests, or anything else fun or newsworthy, as that's still Greg's domain. I'll just give you a heads up if anything technical has been changed to the web site.
Like this week, we've debuted our new web site header, featuring some new imagery that will hopefully be better associated with the campaign throughout 2009. For those of you with really sharp eyes, you'll notice that the new lettering and especially the logo are direct parodies of those from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We'll still use our classic Arial-font title and the "Al face in the Hall" logo, of course, but with a new year and new projects to look forward to, we wanted to freshen our look a bit to show that we weren't going anywhere.
Hope everyone likes it! This is Gordon signing off.
