"Weird Al used music videos brilliantly. His parodies of both Michael Jackson and Madonna were even more memorable than the original videos themselves." |

Make the Rock Hall Weird Update Blog
On Tuesday, The Weird Al Show: The Complete Series is finally coming to DVD. This is the first of two major Weird Al releases fans need to support in the next month and a half. We need to help deliver hits for Al as we prepare for a huge year of Rock Hall campaigning.
To help you decide where to pick up your DVD, please look over the following list of prices that most of the major chains are scheduled to offer the DVD for when it's released. All prices are according to the respective stores' web sites and may not reflect "release week" sales that "big box" chains such as Best Buy and Circuit City often offer for new DVDs. And also, membership-required "warehouse club" stores such as Costco and BJ's do not list most specific DVDs on their web sites, but they often beat all other stores in prices, provided that a title is actually in stock.
And do note when comparing prices that with gas still hovering around $3 a gallon (or more) you might need to factor distance in with your decision.
Target: $22.34 (NOTE: Target's online store is hosted by Amazon, so the price might not be the same in the actual stores)
FYE: $22.99 (NOTE: This price might just be limited to FYE's web site, as it's also offering an additional $7 mail-in rebate for web customers only)
Tower Records: $24.99
Best Buy: $25.99
Wherehouse: $27.98
Circuit City: $29.99
Coconuts: $32.99
Barnes and Noble: $34.98
Sam Goody: $34.98
So there you go. Choose wisely. And of course, for online customers it should be noted that Amazon is currently selling the DVD for $22.34 and is already shipping out pre-orders. Amazon is also currently listing Straight Outta Lynwood for $14.99, so pre-order now!
Wake up early on Tuesday and wait for your favorite store to open a la "Hardware Store." We've got a busy couple of weeks ahead of us, and it all begins Tuesday. Do what you can to support Al!!!
