"Weird Al used music videos brilliantly. His parodies of both Michael Jackson and Madonna were even more memorable than the original videos themselves."

Make the Rock Hall Weird Update Blog

Entry for October 15, 2020

Well, the Rock Hall nominations are now a month late. Even with the changing of the guards over at the Rock Hall Foundation earlier in the year one would think they would have announced the nominees by now. Maybe this means good news for some of the acts who have long been ignored by the foundation, but I wouldn't count on it.

Anyway, while we're still waiting, here are some Al-related things to pass the time.

This week, AOL is hosting a "Face Off" between Al and Chamillionaire. It's just a silly "who do you like better?" online poll. It doesn't mean anything, but if you're looking for new ways to stuff a ballot for Al, click here to vote for him!

And on Tuesday, the DVD The Very Best of Sabrina the Animated Series will be in stores. Al will show up in animated form during the "Witchy Grrls" episode to sing a brand new song (well, "new" if you've never seen the episode before). If you haven't done so yet, be sure to pre-order the DVD now.

And of course, you better have already purchased The Weird Al Show: The Complete Series on DVD and the brand new smash hit album Straight Outta Lynwood! Be sure to also vote for "White & Nerdy" on VH1's VSpot Top 20 Countdown. "Nerdy" is currently the #9 single in the country due in most part to sales from iTunes, making it the biggest hit of Al's career. Let's keep it going!

If you haven't volunteered to help out with the petition yet, please do so now!
