"Weird Al used music videos brilliantly. His parodies of both Michael Jackson and Madonna were even more memorable than the original videos themselves." |

Hooray! We finally have a petition volunteer all set for Friday's Candy Cane Lane Christmas Parade in Al's old stomping grounds of Lynwood. Squirrelygirl was a huge help the last time we did a petition, and we are so psyched that she's back in the fold for this new phase of the campaign. Be sure to look for her on the sidelines during the parade if you'd like to sign the petition or help out yourself!
Friday seems to be the nexus of the universe for Weird Al things. In addition to the Lynwood Christmas Parade, VH1 will also premiere a brand new Al-TV special...and the new, fully updated edition of the "Weird Al" Yankovic Songography will be available for one and all (click here for info on how to subscribe).
It's clear that 2006 has easily been one of the biggest years of Al's entire career, and it's been ending beautifully. Two Grammy nominations, topping VH1's video countdown for the last two weeks of the year, international buzz for the upcoming tour, and a plethora of groovy appearances and specials. Let's hope the good times keep coming in 2007!
