"Weird Al used music videos brilliantly. His parodies of both Michael Jackson and Madonna were even more memorable than the original videos themselves." |

Make the Rock Hall Weird Update Blog
So, have all of you sent off a letter to the Rock Hall Foundation?
Hopefully you did, because we're done with the constant reminders (for now) as we begin to shift gears toward the 2006 petition drive. We're still waiting for news of tour dates to start popping up, but in the meantime we need any and all Al fans to start lining up to volunteer! There's so much that can be done now.
I've added to the action calendar the August 8 DVD release of The Brak Show Volume 2, in which Al appears on the "Feud" episode as parasitic monster Petroleum Joe. Be sure to pre-order it now! With The Weird Al Show also coming to DVD the very next week, and with a new studio album coming soon, we need Al to dominate all sales charts. We need to do all we can to make this the "Summer of Al."
Finally, I'm pleased to announce that we finally have a Cafepress store set up so you can buy campaign materials such as bumper stickers, buttons, and other fun things to help spread the word. We won't offer anything too extravagant like the Star Fund shop, since we're pretty much limited to using our own Al-less title logo and generic artwork, but still we invite you to check it out and partake in some Make the Rock Hall "Weird" swag!
