"Weird Al used music videos brilliantly. His parodies of both Michael Jackson and Madonna were even more memorable than the original videos themselves." |

Make the Rock Hall Weird Update Blog
Wow, what a week it has been!
The first week of shows on our Straight Into Cleveland U.S. petition tour has come and gone, and we are extremely grateful for everyone who has helped out so far, either by bringing the petition with them to a concert or merely by signing it.
Reports from these shows have been great, the press has been decent, and even the non-casino venues haven't been total douchebags to our people (yeah, we're looking at you, creepy stalking security guy at Turning Stone!). We'll metaphorically be back on the road later this month, and we already have volunteers scheduled to show up in a lot of major cities and metropolitan areas. We're talking Fort Lauderdale, Philadelphia, San Diego, Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles...and yeah, you better believe Cleveland too!
Speaking of San Diego, in addition to Al concerts, we'd also love to have field operatives covering some of the major comic book and sci-fi conventions that will happen throughout the summer. So, if you're going to be at Comic-Con International (you know, the big San Diego con) in July, any of the Wizard Worlds, or even the big Star Wars Celebration later this month in Los Angeles, by all means please volunteer!
In the meantime, one of our always-helpful field operatives, melcor58, has set up a page on Facebook just for the campaign. If you're a member of the site, by all means join up today. We could always use another outlet for campaign news and updates.
We need more volunteers! Come one, come all!
