"Weird Al used music videos brilliantly. His parodies of both Michael Jackson and Madonna were even more memorable than the original videos themselves." |

Make the Rock Hall Weird Update Blog
Oh boy!!!! Are you ready??
We are--what would be the right word? Honored? Pleased? Ecstatic? Amazed? Excited? Dumbfounded? There's just no way to describe how we feel as we announce our latest celebrity signers.
It's Barenaked Ladies!
Yeah, as in the multi-Platinum, infinitely creative, fun-loving hit Canadian rock band responsible for "Pinch Me," "Brian Wilson," "Another Postcard," "Easy," "If I Had $1,000,000," and many others. And of course, not only did they let Al parody their megahit "One Week" as the trash-TV-themed "Jerry Springer," but they also performed on the first aired episode of The Weird Al Show.
We cannot express how grateful we are to Mssr. Steven Page, Ed Robertson, Jim Creeggan, Kevin Hearn, and Tyler Stewart for not only helping out our cause but also for having such a good sense of humor about their art.
If you would like to express your thanks to the group, by all means order their two latest albums: last year's Barenaked Ladies Are Me and this year's follow-up Barenaked Ladies Are Men.
And also, there were a lot of people taking pictures at the time of the petition signing. We know a few pics were taken of the signatures themselves, but also it seemed as if someone snapped off a shot while Steve while signing it. If anyone reading this did take any such pictures, please e-mail us because we would love a jpg.
So thank you again to BNL. This has been a LONG time coming.
And oh yeah, we need more petition volunteers! C'mon, what's good enough for Ed, Steve, Jim, Kevin, and Tyler is good enough for you!
