"Weird Al used music videos brilliantly. His parodies of both Michael Jackson and Madonna were even more memorable than the original videos themselves."

Entry for July 5, 2007

HERE WE ARE! JUST ONE DAY AWAY FROM OUR BIG CLEVELAND SHOW!!! Aaaaiighhhh!

But you know, as much as we focus on Cleveland in this campaign (and for obvious reasons), there's another city along the Great Lakes that had a lot to do with the history of rock and roll and pop music in general. We of course refer to the Motor City, the home of Motown, the one and only Detroit. Without this city, there most likely wouldn't have been a Michael Jackson (or, at least, the way we know him), and then obviously in turn no "Eat It" that would have made Al an international star.

So tonight, we honor Detroit, and if you're going to the FREE concert there tonight at the Comerica CityFest, be sure to look for Alinite27, Greg, Kari, and Patti to sign the petition!

And hey, we need more volunteers across the country!
