NOTES & TRIVIA |
Al's first homage to the Doors since the inclusion of "L.A. Woman" in 1984's "Polkas on 45."
Ray Manzarek of the Doors played keyboards on this song, marking only the second time an artist has performed on Al's style parody of them (the first being Ben Folds on "Why Does This Always Happen To Me?") and the first time on such a song released as a single.
A low-budget music video for the song directed by Liam Lynch premiered on AOL Music on June 15, 2009. Unlike the completely animated videos for the original songs off Straight Outta Lynwood, this video was live action, featuring Al dressed as Jim Morrison intercut with stock footage to resemble latter-day Doors "videos" as seen on VH1 Classic. Not counting the "Bob" clip that was shot for 2003's Al-TV special, this marked the first stand-alone live action video for an Al original since 1996's "Spy Hard."
