NOTES & TRIVIA

The only commercial b-side to be issued as its own promo and to have its own video.

Even though MuchMusic claims that the music video for "Spy Hard" is off the (nonexistent) Spy Hard movie soundtrack, this single-track promo is the only "soundtrack" devoted entirely to the film.

As if that wasn't confusing enough, the promo music video for "Spy Hard," issued by New Wave Entertainment for Hollywood Pictures and not by Scotti Bros., credits the song to (grumble grumble) "Wierd Al" Yankovic, making this "Wierd Al's" second legitimate release (the first being the "I Love Rocky Road" single).

The "music video" that was issued for this single is merely Al's opening titles for the film Spy Hard (sans credits and colored backgrounds, the latter making it somewhat of an oddity) edited together with scenes from the movie. Al said in an "Ask Al" column that even though he did edit the video together, Disney insisted on making changes after changes to it. This video is only available right now as a promo. Al's complete opening sequence is available on the Spy Hard home video, minus the actual credits on both the laserdisc and DVD of "Weird Al" Yankovic: The Videos, and with select credits reinstated on the Ultimate Video Collection DVD.
