|NOTES & TRIVIA|
Released in Australia in part to coincide with Al's March 2007 tour of the country.
When the Straight Outta Lynwood album was first released, the song entered Billboard's "Hot 100" singles chart due solely to paid downloads through iTunes, even though the song was not promoted on its own. The song eventually peaked on the chart at #82, marking not only the second time an Al song charted thanks to iTunes, but also the first time for one not intended to be a single at all.
This promo marks the first time the song was officially promoted by Al's label as a single, although it should be noted that in December 2006 Canada's MuchMusic ran a "Show Me Yours: Ultimate Canadian Idiot" contest hoping to assemble a "fans-only" video for the song based on viewer submissions. MuchMusic told potential entrants that "your clip could appear in Weird Al's real video" for the "new single," even though no such official "Canadian Idiot" video was ever planned to be produced. Nevertheless, this contest marked the first bit of promotion for the parody. Yet, just weeks after the contest started, and before the December 27 deadline for entries, MuchMusic informed entrants that the contest had been abruptly cancelled, giving no official reason why (although five finalists did eventually receive prizes, which included video greetings from Al).
Later collected on the compilation The Essential "Weird Al" Yankovic.
